Head of Product Marketing

Responsibilities

  • Your key role is forming product strategy within context of market position. You build approach for making long term relationship between product and users.
  • Your customer mindset is the ultimate drive to grow our product. You translate what’s going on their mind into solid marketing strategy. You have their sense. You use your empathy to make them feel what we want them to feel. Their mindset is your muse.
  • Drive end-users engagement by conveying the product’s value, so you must own the product and deeply understand the market behaviour towards your product.
  • Do fundamental research to win our customer. You will conduct everything necessary-market research, competitor analysis, getting feedback- and articulating the information to corresponding teams so they have the weapon to make the best possible plan in sending message about the product.
  • Lead and inspire your Product Marketing Managers (PMM) to become the best on their role, help them to see your  vision and guide them to plan and execute the milestone
  • Work strategically,  side by side with product manager (PM) to deliver successful product. When PM focus on building features to create exhilarating experience using our product, you (along with your PMM) make sure our end-customer will feel the same and got engaged.
  • Lead project execution with the help from collaborative team across departments.
  • You document all learnings and create playbook for future projects.
  • Be the expert in understanding our market and use the knowledge to inform product development, marketing content, product messaging, until brand differentiation.
  • Plan cross-functional marketing and channel teams to position, message and execute the marketing campaign across multiple touchpoints.

 

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in brand / product marketing, consulting, or related.
  • Successful track record in planning, developing and executing strategy for multiple projects while collaborating cross-functionally.
  • Ability to easily transition from high level strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution.
  • Extensive experience developing and validating positioning, category creation, messaging, and competitive segmentation
  • Strong sense to build the team and developing talent especially in marketing
  • Proven leader who can create a trusted relationship/partnership with sales, marketing, and product teams, as well as customers and partners
  • Ability to drive projects and teams, cross-organizationally, realizing high quality, well communicated, predictable outcomes
  • Self-motivated with a true passion for Product Marketing
  • Strong analytical skills with distinctive problem-solving, strategic capabilities
  • The scrappy-also-structured-storyteller
